The PRAXIS Youth Organizing Conference, an annual event hosted by K-20 Changemaker Campus (a collaboration between Prescott College, Mexicayotl Academy, and Changemaker High School) was held virtually October 17-18, 

In response to the recent social media attacks made by local area residents on our MFA Faculty Director Patrisse Cullors, Prescott College is taking the following five initial action steps and planning process to prioritize community safety:

We are dismayed to see the ugly racist messages circulating on social media in our community about Patrisse Cullors, a member of our faculty at Prescott College. Patrisse is a professional artist and educator living in Los Angeles who is the Faculty Director of our online Master of Fine Arts program. Her inspiring work is recognized across the globe and we are honored that she is a part of the Prescott Community.  She is also a co-founder of Black Lives Matter. 

Since graduating in the spring of 2019, Sam Bellis has had the opportunity to dive right into a job that applied the many skills she gathered during her time at Prescott College. After keeping a close eye on job boards upon graduation, Sam happened upon a position at the Galena Creek Visitor Center in Reno, Nevada. This position (Visitor Services Coordinator) focused on environmental education under the umbrella organization the Great Basin Institute.
